2) India on 13 February 2014 completed three consecutive years without a single wild polio case being reported from any part of the country. 6) In a significant development, the Gujarat High Court on 13 January 2014 ordered the suspension of all commercial and development activity inside the 21 units at the Adani Group’s Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) at Gujarat’s Kutch district. This order was passed following a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by the villagers of Navinal, located inside the SEZ, alleging serious violations of the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) notification, 2006 by the company and the units there.
